The Competition

The Beats On The Beach competition is a collaborative community art project that features two local producers tasked with creating sample packs of unique beach sounds.

These sample packs are used by beat makers across genres to create beats and compete for the following prizes:

  • 1st place $300 Cash Prize

  • 2nd place $200 Cash Prize

  • 3rd place $100 Cash Prize

2025 Featured Produceres

TOMO Sample Pack
Deevo Da Genius Sample Pack

TOMO and Deevo Da Genius collected samples from Boston Harbor aboard The Belle. Beatmakers must choose at least 8 samples from their packs to make a beat that is between 1:30 and 2:30 minutes long.

Competition Rules

  1. Contestants must use at least 16 out of the 64 provided samples from either sample pack.

  2. Submissions should be at least 1:30 and no longer than 2:30.

  3. Contestants must submit a brief breakdown of their beat and samples chosen.

  4. All non-BOTB samples used must be royalty free.

  5. Contestants must mix & master their beat.

  6. Open to all producers and genres.

2025 Winners

  • ToriTori

    1st Place: ToriTori

    ToriTori is a Boston-born singer, songwriter, and loop artist whose sound moves like water — bending R&B and Soul into something entirely her own. There’s a tenderness in her delivery, a rawness in her storytelling, and a freedom in her melodies that invite you to feel, remember, and return to yourself. A deep listener and bold improviser, ToriTori builds each performance like a sacred space — no moment the same, each one alive. She’s graced stages from Boston Calling to BAMSFest, TD Garden, and opened for Madison McFerrin, carrying presence and power wherever she sings. In 2023, she was named R&B Artist of the Year by the Boston Music Awards and Act of the Year by the New England Music Awards —a reflection of the resonance she creates, not just through sound, but through spirit.

  • Teeba

    2nd Place: Teeba

    Teeba is a Grammy-nominated multi-instrumentalist, producer, and songwriter based in Seacoast New Hampshire and Detroit Michigan. Rooted in his love for the bass guitar, Teeba’s work spans guitar, keys, vocals, and production—blending soul, hip-hop, funk, and experimental sounds into a distinctive style. He has collaborated with artists including Eminem, Snoop Dogg, DMX, Nas, Denaun Porter, Dave East, JID, Luh Tyler, Ransom, Coast Contra, and Token, bringing versatility and depth to both stage and studio.

  • Just Pete

    3rd Place: Just Pete

    From the talent rich town of Lynn, Massachusetts comes Just Pete.   A father, husband, and blue collar worker with an unwavering passion for music. In the early 2000s he began entering emcee battles participating in competitions all over the New England area including prestigious battles such as Scribble Jam and Boston’s Super Bowl battle.  After college he formed a group, The Camp, with two close friend he met through battling and in 2008 the group won a Boston Music Award for Live Act of the Year. His interest in beat making came after watching countless hours of producers chopping and looping dusty vinyl samples as he wrote his raps.  In 2007 he bought his first drum machine and never looked back. Long gone are the late studio nights and live shows, now life’s responsibilities only allow for small blocks of time make music. In the seclusion of his small attic studio Just Pete continues to enjoy the therapeutic benefits of making music.
