Public Cruises
Take a FREE cruise to explore your local harbor! Boston Harbor is a beautiful public resource for us all to enjoy, and Save the Harbor is proud to have a free resource for folks to do so. We want to see YOU out on Boston Harbor with us! We offer a mix of Sunset Harbor Tours, where we explore the harbor and its gorgeous views from the boat, and Spectacle Sunday Cruises, where people are able to get out and explore Spectacle Island.
These free cruises are made possible with support from Cronin Development, the Massachusetts Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs, Massachusetts Office of Environmental Protection, Bay State Cruise Company, and Mass Bay Lines.

Marine Mammal Safaris
On Saturday April 18th, Save the Harbor/Save the Bay and Massachusetts Bay Lines will host 3 free Marine Mammal Safaris to search for seals and porpoises and share songs and stories of Boston Harbor and the sea. These free trips are open to the public. We welcome school and community groups, youth organizations, friends, families, and children.
TRIP 1: Boards at 9:00am, departs at 9:30am, and returns by 11:00am
TRIP 2: Boards at 11:15am, departs at 11:30pm, and returns by 1:00pm
TRIP 3: Boards at 1:15pm, departs at 1:30pm, and returns by 3:00pm
All three trips depart from and return to the Massachusetts Bay Lines dock at Rowes Wharf at Gate C (behind the Boston Harbor Hotel).
Spectacle Sundays Cruises
Explore Boston Harbor’s Spectacle Island for FREE from 10 am - 2 pm! These cruises are rain or shine so be prepared for any weather conditions. Below are the 2026 dates:

Sunset Harbor Cruises
Enjoy a relaxing sunset cruise with a view of the Boston Harbor. Each cruise is 1.5 hours, shifting between 6:30-8:00 pm and 6:00-7:30 pm depending on sunset timing. Below are our 2026 cruise dates:
