FLOW: a live arts, music and dance jam is a free, family-friendly Hip Hop cultural activation designed to celebrate creativity, community, and stewardship of Boston’s waterfront. Taking place at Carson Beach in South Boston, this one-day event will run from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM and transform the beach into a vibrant, inclusive gathering space rooted in the elements of Hip Hop. FLOW is an open jam rather than a traditional stage show - inviting beachgoers, youth, families, and local residents to engage organically with live art-making, music, and movement.

Meet your DJs:
@djtroyfrost is a daughter of Dorchester and Roxbury. Her musical foundation spans 70s soul, Golden Era Hip Hop, Zouk, R&B, and House, which shape her style today. In 2013, while studying at Barnard College, she trained at Scratch DJ Academy, earning her DJ certification alongside a B.A. in Africana Studies. She has shared stages with notable artists including GZA, Talib Kweli, Just Blaze and more. Highlights include DJing for Janelle Monáe at Wellesley College, and serving as the resident DJ for the Boston Comics in Color Festival.
Born & raised in the Bay State with Liberian roots, @dj.palmbutta curates sets highlighting genres from all over. She has a deep love for Southern Rap and embraces its unmatched, unfiltered energy, and raw authenticity. When DJ Palm Butta is spinning, she focuses on connecting and creating an experience like no other. Her mission is to make you dance, feel and introduce you to fan favorites and songs you’ve never heard. DJ Palm Butta is always sure to cook up something special!
