Dockside Activities at Atlantic Wharf

On Mondays in the summer, Save the Harbor welcomes about 70 youth from local organizations to participate in outdoor programming at Atlantic Wharf (290 Congress Street, Boston, MA) which is just around the corner from South Station. Programming includes fishing, touch tanks, art projects, murals, storytelling, and lawn games.

The program runs from 10am-12:30pm. Lunch is provided for all in attendance.

Spectacle Sunday Cruise

Spend your Sunday morning visiting Spectacle Island with Save the Harbor. Leaves from Rowes Wharf at 10:00 am and arrives back at 2:00pm.

Location: The address from which we will be departing is 60 Rowes Wharf, Boston, MA 02110. This address is located behind the Boston Harbor Hotel. If you find the big archway with the big flag, walk through it towards the water and take a right onto the harborwalk. We will be checking people in next to the Mass Bay Lines office to board the boat "The Freedom".

Please arrive at Rowes Wharf at 9:00am to check in for our 9:30 Boarding and prompt 10:00 departure. The trip out to Spectacle is about 40 minutes. We will be boarding the boat at 1:00 to depart Spectacle by 1:15pm, and will be back in Boston by 2:00pm.

These cruises are free but space is limited, so tickets are required. Since this is a free event, we anticipate more folks reserving tickets for each time slot than will actually show up. PLEASE SHOW TICKETS FOR BOARDING.

To secure your spot on the boat, please arrive 30 minutes prior to your scheduled departure time (see above). There are more tickets available that spots on the boat so make sure you arrive around 9:00 pm.

*****Once the boat reaches its capacity during the boarding process no one else will be allowed aboard. If you reserved more tickets than you plan to use please update your reservation.

Getting There: This is just a short walk from both South Station (Red/Silver Line) and Aquarium Station (Blue Line). There is parking available at public garages in the area - although these do require a fee to park.

Things to Bring:

  • Water bottle

  • Lunch

  • Trash Bag (this is a carry on-carry off island)

  • Sun Protection (hats, sunblock, sunglasses, etc)

Join Save the Harbor for an evening cruising the Boston Harbor. Boarding begins are 6:00 and boat departs from Rowes Wharf at 6:30 pm.

Dockside Activities at 15 Necco

On Mondays in the summer, Save the Harbor welcomes about 30 youth from local organizations to participate in outdoor programming along the Fort Point Channel (15 Necco St, Boston, MA) which is just across the bridge from South Station and the US Post Office. Programming includes fishing, touch tanks, art projects, murals, storytelling, and more. If your group has attended our programming at Atlantic Wharf this will follow a very similar format just with a smaller group size. 

The program runs from 10am-12:30pm.

Dockside Activities at Atlantic Wharf
