Rock The Beach Sober Celebration!

  • Nantasket Beach Hull, MA United States (map)

Join us for “Rock The Beach Sober Celebration!”, an inter-generational celebration geared toward people with disabilities, specifically low income individuals and families who have been affected by substance use disorder.

There will be 2 performances.

The first performance is by The Lucky Duckies, a band fronted by 2 senior women and supported by a senior man. This is a family friendly show, where the band plays age-appropriate tunes. The band will engage the kids, parents and grandparents and encourage them to sing along, dance, and play percussion toys, making for a thoroughly interactive and fun experience. We'll have dancing ribbons, superhero capes, bubbles and shaker toys! To further encourage audience participation “Danny The Duck” will be on hand dancing and singing and inviting the kids and adults to join in the fun.

The second performance will be by the Lucky Bastids, a band fronted by 3 older women and supported by 2 senior men. This band will perform original rock tunes primarily written by the women. Although it’s geared toward adults, the repertoire is family friendly so families with kids are encouraged to stay and keep the fun going!

Organized by Better Beaches partner Liz Tobin.
