Circus Up hosts a quarterly Friends and Family Night. At this event, all of our youth participants, families, staff members, board members, volunteers, and friends are invited to celebrate together, share skills, and uplift the community. This event will be our largest Friends and Family Day of the year where we can host many more community members than usual and celebrate circus and each other in a lovely beach setting.

Our spectacular youth community troupe, Kirkos, will put on their full 35-45 minute show to kick off the event. Founded in 2020, Kirkos performs bold and uplifting shows in the greater Boston area. Through their performances, Kirkos team members address social issues while crafting collaborative circus acts that surprise, baffle, and delight.

We will then host an afternoon wellness retreat and dreaming session for all Circus Up community members and the public. This is an opportunity for the community members to tell us what they need in this climate.

We will have an outside expert facilitate time for the community to discuss emergent needs and dreams for how Circus Up can grow and better support its community. Small and large group discussion will focus on strengthening our teamwork and then brainstorming actionable organizational and programmatic ideas so that we can dive into our summer programming by bolstering our free circus classes that are inclusive, accessible, and joyful for all.
