Access Culture's World Music Concert Series

  • Nantasket Beach 212 Nantasket Avenue Hull, MA, 02045 United States (map)

Access Culture’s World Music Concert Series is a dynamic celebration of cultural diversity, designed to break down barriers, foster understanding, and promote equity through the universal language of music. Our free, family-friendly outdoor events provide a platform for underrepresented communities to share their stories and traditions while engaging diverse audiences eager to learn and connect. Our goal is to address systemic inequities by creating accessible cultural experiences that inspire pride, belonging, and cross-cultural exchange.

The series highlights global traditions, featuring artists from Arab, African, Latin American, Southeast Asian, and Indigenous communities. Past performers include Zahili Zamora, Veronica Robles Mariachi Band, Flamenco Boston, and Maracutaia Brazilian Afro Jazz Group, showcasing genres ranging from Moroccan rhythms to Afro-Latin jazz. We partner with local organizations such as The Everett Haitian Community Center, The Greater Boston Chinese Cultural Association, The Community Minority Cultural Center, Creative Malden, and Friends of Nantasket Beach, ensuring events are collaborative and impactful.

Accessibility is central to our mission. Events are held at ADA-compliant venues, with multilingual materials and proactive accommodations for all abilities. We proactively seek out and promote artists with disabilities. Grammy-nominated percussionist Tareq Rantisi leads the series, supported by skilled event coordinators, technicians, and volunteers. We measure success according to the quality of engagement and the connections fostered between communities, making the series a true celebration of unity, respect, and joy.

Organized by our Better Beaches partners at Access Culture.
