La Colaborativa will partner with Latinx-serving organizations to host a vibrant Día en la Playa celebrating culture, conservation, and community. This event will showcase the rich heritage of Latinx traditions through music, dance, and art while promoting awareness of environmental sustainability and access to Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) facilities. Participants will enjoy cultural performances, educational workshops on coastal conservation, and family-friendly activities that connect them to the natural beauty of local beaches. By fostering cultural pride, encouraging environmental stewardship, and strengthening community bonds, this collaborative event will serve as a platform to empower residents, raise awareness of resources available within their communities, and inspire action toward sustainable practices.
