Get Open Boston is a vibrant, free, full-day beach party and wellness festival that celebrates the intersectionality of Queer, Trans, Black, and Indigenous People of Color (QTBIPOC). This event transforms the beach into a healing village, fostering community and uplifting QTBIPOC local artists, fitness and wellness professionals, and musicians. These individuals share their embodiment practices to promote social activism for wellness.
Throughout the day, attendees can explore a variety of health and wellness services and informational materials provided by QTBIPOC practitioners. DJs will keep the energy high with an eclectic blend of underground dance and world music. The festival features a diverse range of activities, including Yoga, Qi Gong, a relaxation station, meditation, plant-based self-care technologies, exercise, and dance workshops designed for all shapes, sizes, and abilities.
Visual art created by local artists will be on display, and there will be engaging activities for kids throughout the day. As the festival progresses, music fills the air, culminating in a family-friendly beach party and wellness celebration. Our partners include Hands of Gaia Reiki & Lunation Life Cycle Support, Jesse Cardoso, Boston Public Schools Arts teacher, Oku Healing Arts, Tao 1 Life Wellness, Groovement Dance, Harm Free Living, De La Tierra Botanicals, Radical Roots Coop, Born Bi Kim, and Youth Artists Cafe.
